Brush texture shader
It’s been a long time since I wanted to get deeper into shaders, particularly I’ve been always fascinated about shaders that emulate traditional arts. But since I have been so busy with the development of Tiny Klepto, I couldn’t find any moment to start.
So this weekend I found this really nice painting from Francisco Riolobos, so I got down to work.
Here is the model after applying the UV mapping and a texture:
After that I programmed a shader that creates a transition between light and shadow based in a texture similar to a dry brush stroke:
And this is the final look in Unity after putting everything together.. voilà! Isn’t it cool??
